Buddy “Heywood”, at the top of Alpental…coolest ski area I have never heard of (so far:).

If you like Alta, A basin, Loveland, (and I bet a lot of places I have never been to …yet) you would love this place. Two chairs of note…some of the most interesting terrain and lots of spice! The 2 person lift reminds me of skiing in the midwest — the lift but not the terrain :)…

Anatomy of a powder day – Crystal Mtn

Start by waking up in back of Sprinter Van in the Crystal mountain B-lot, to avi bombs …feels like a combat zone…

hardy breakfast/get gear…more than the yogurt and granola I have been living on 🙂

Get up to Chair 6 🙂 So we can hike into the Southside.

B-lot Crystal Mountain

Made it yesterday to the iconic B-Lot at Crystal Mountain (about 90 min from Seattle). Pretty amazing lengths people go pulling up trailers / driving RVs up the 45 minute mountain road…Love it! Crystal mountain has a very cool ski vibe…right up there with Alta, A-basin, Crested Butte…

Send-IT! after long drive from Deer Valley UT

Hooked up with my buddy (Heywood Zablocki — we flew Jets together in Japan — the 14 FS Samurai). What a fun reunion so far…fun that our love for skiing was the catalyst we both needed to get together. Awesome it was a powder day!
