Blackout shades are a no brainer. Insulation and winterization as well given where you are heading with this rig. Hold off on other major mods until you’ve used it enough to know what you really want. We created a list of possible options for our van and revisit it as we spend more time with it.
That said, a few simple things….
Storage bins are a no brainer (careful about hard plastic ones, especially in the winter if you are going to leave them outside). Eventually you might build and install shelves instead but figure out what you want to store and where first.

Bungee cords are a godsend.

Great feedback…I have built one small shelf to put over a bin that I can use as a table / stool outside. Will have a big list of mods after this trip!
